The Agència Catalana de Notícies
The Catalan News Agency (CNA) is a part of the Agència Catalana de Notícies(ACN). ACN is a public corporation owned by the Catalan public administration. It is one of the first digital news agencies created in Europe and has been operating since 1999. It is a pioneer in the use of multimedia journalism, teleworking and decentralised organisation applied to a virtual journalistic environment.
ACN currently employs around 75 professionals. Its headquarters are located in Barcelona and it has branches in Madrid and the Valencian Community, as well as in Brussels, London, and Paris. Furthermore, it has collaboration agreements with news agencies such as EFE, Reuters, DPA and ANSA. ACN is a member of ANSAmed, a group of Mediterranean agencies. ACN offers informative contents through text, photographic, video and audio formats to over 250 different subscribers, including television and radio channels, the print and digital press, institutions and businesses.
The Agència Catalana de Notícies offers news, texts, videos, photographs and sound bites on demand. In addition, it also provides access to news feeds, SMS alerts and adapted services. Subscriptions to part or all of these services are also possible.

CNA’s new website was launched in late August 2010. The Catalan Views opinion blog began in early September. The first issue of the Catalunya Info newsletter will cover news starting soon.
